2025 CSA Newsletter (Tuesday Edition) Week 7
/It’s that time of year when meal prep is so easy and simple! A few ingredients, not much preparation and bam! you have a delicious, fresh meal in minutes to enjoy on the patio as you wind the day down. These are our favorite type of meals this time of year. Recently we took peaches and fresh mozzarella slices, layered them on a plate with fresh basil. Then drizzled some Honey Date Balsamic Vinegar (from the Farm Store!) and enjoyed a super delish and very fresh dinner. After the picture, we actually added in some Genoa salami which was a lovely addition!
This week on the farm we have been super busy harvesting the last of the raspberries, continually picking zucchini and cucumbers. We are carefully watching the cantaloupes and watermelons as they are starting to take shape…still a few weeks out from harvest. The sweet corn is so close! The ears are filling out but it hasn’t started to turn color yet. It won’t be long tho!
Since we are now in August and starting to think about fall harvest, it’s time to talk about our Fall Share CSA. Interested in 4 weeks of some of the season's best and freshest produce?
While the summer season winds down and the fall season is ramping up, we offer a Fall Share on TUESDAYS starting September 9th and running until September 30th! We focus on storage crops but you also get plenty of late summer fruits and vegetables!

~Tomatoes: There’s also some basil in the bag this week! Are you getting my hint…? These two need to be friends in whatever dish you make this week!!
~Zucchini: Ok, we’ve been waiting for these guys to get big enough to start making zucchini boats! It’s such a brilliant way to enjoy this summer squash! So yummy!

~Cherries: They are almost done for the season! We are almost out. boo-hoo! It was an incredible cherry season everywhere!
~Beets: Roast these up with olive oil, salt and pepper! That’s how we’ve been eating them all week! So simple, but so darn good!
~Apricots: You are getting to two different sizes! Larger ones and some mini-ones. We were going to just jam the small ones but they were so fun and tasty that we’ve been sharing them with customers! They are so cute!
~Peppers: A sweet bell pepper and some jalapenos. Now that you’ve got some tomatoes, you could make a nice batch of salsa too!
We hope you enjoy this week’s haul! After this week, there are only two more weeks of CSA pick up! Enjoy the taste of the season while it’s here!
Just a reminder: check out the Farm Store each week during pick-up! We have the store and refridges packed full of delicious fresh food! This is the best time of year for eating local and healthy!!
