WINTER WORKSHOP SERIES #1: Join us for a fun evening with Jon and Erin Turner learning about canning and preserving food. Water bath is a tried and true method of preserving the harvest! Home canning is safe, healthy and fun! Plus, it’s a great way to fight back against the broken food system in our country. This class will teach you the basics to get you rolling on canning. We will cover things like jams, jellies, pickles, & salsas (and what foods can be safely water bathed and which ones need to be pressure canned).

Jon and Erin, owners of Turner Farms, have been canning for 30 years. It is how they fed their 3 sons and even now as empty nesters, they fill their shelves with numerous jars of the farm’s fresh harvest. They continue to can because of the joy it brings them, the health benefits, and the security of knowing where their food comes from!
